Meet K9 Molly
explosives & firearms detection canine
Molly was found as a stray in rural Louisiana in 2024 at about a year old. She was noted as being "friendly and energetic" and put up for adoption after being spayed and vaccinated. After just a few weeks, Molly was adopted from the LaSPCA by a couple of ladies looking for a love bug. While Molly showed them early on that she was, indeed, affectionate, she had seemingly endless energy. After destroying the garden through obsessive lizard hunting, shredding 3 rows of bookshelf contents, and figuring out how to open drawers, Molly's owners started to think she may be Too Much Dog for them. It was at this time that we were contacted. When we met Molly, she was compulsive about her search for lizards, she always needed something in her mouth, and eager to do something -- anything.
Molly has flourished in our program. She is an extremely eager-to-please dog, very social, and always ready to learn something new. She is a very precise detection dog with great understanding of her job. Molly is eager to work. She always comes out of her kennel ready to go. Throughout her development as an explosives and firearms detection canine, Molly has taken to new challenges without hesitation. K9 Molly is going to make a truly incredible asset to any team, as she is an easy handle, easy to read, and eager to work.
K9 Molly is currently dle certified with our head trainer.
Available
K9 Molly is currently available for donation.
Molly has shown that she is not only proficient, but excels as a detection canine. We are looking to donate her to a Law Enforcement agency that could benefit from a social, level-headed, accurate explosives and firearms detection canine to serve their community.
Meet K9 bubblez
narcotics detection canine
Bubblez was born into rescue. Animal Rescue New Orleans (ARNO) pulled her from the LaSPCA at six months old. She spent some time at ARNO's facility, but she showed signs of being under-stimulated. At around a year old, Bubblez went into foster. Her foster, an avid runner, would run with Bubblez upwards of 8 miles every day. It seemed nothing would tire her out. Bubblez could run for miles, go to the dog park, spend an afternoon at daycare, and still have energy to bite her leash and pester the foster's resident dog relentlessly. Bubblez also had difficulty meeting potential adopters, as her energy and drive would often deter potential owners who were looking for a dog they could snuggle and spoil. After significant effort on the foster's part, ARNO came to the conclusion that even an active home may not be enough to fulfill this tenacious little dog.
Bubblez shows great promise in detection. She is extremely ball driven, she has incredible stamina, and she picks up on complex concepts very quickly and easily.
Meet K9 bauer
new recruit
Bauer was found as a stray in 2025. The shelter that found him noted that he was energetic, and likely a malinois mix of some kind. Friend of the foundation, Deni, posted about Bauer's good nature and drive for the ball. So, we took a trip down to Florida to meet the big guy. When we met Bauer, he was still recovering from a severe case of hookworms and an even more severe case of pneumonia. But that didn't stop him from chasing the ball at full speed, even when he was exhausted. Bauer showed us that he had the drive to do the job, so we pulled him without hesitation.
While Bauer has grown healthier, he has continued to show an eagerness to learn and engage with us. He is extremely dedicated to his ball, and even more dedicated to figuring out what we're asking of him. Bauer is learning quickly, and we expect him to fly through our program.
